Singer Sewing Machine Double Lead Cord Kit Re-Wire Your Original Bakelite Plug & Controller

Use this new double lead cord kit to re-wire your original bakelite 3 pin plug and foot controller. This kit is for double lead set ups, this is when the bakelite plug that goes to your machine has two cords (similar to example shown in the third picture), one for the wall outlet and another that goes to the foot controller. 

It is used on the Singer 221 / 222K Featherweight (with the exception of the white 221K FW), and can be found on many other portable Singer models including the 15-90, 15-91, 66, 99, 128, 201-2, 201-3, 301, 306, 319, etc

This kit uses 18/2 stranded copper wire with SPT-2 insulation, it includes:

• 70" power cord with wall outlet plug
• 58" wire with forked connectors on one end, this will connect to your foot controller
• 2 brass washers. Use these washers between the forked connectors and the screws on your controller contacts, this will ensure a secure connection. 

There are many great tutorials online that cover how to wire the 3 pin plug correctly, be sure to secure the wire using a strain relief knot / underwriters knot to prevent the wires from pulling loose.
