The SCHMETZ Leather sewing machine needle has a left twist cutting point. As the name suggests, use the leather needle to sew leather, faux leather, paper, and heavy non-woven synthetics. The cutting point easily penetrates leather. Remember once the stitch is created, the thread can be removed, but the stitch hole will remain. Do not use on knit or woven fabrics. Needle system 130/705 H, also known as 15x1 or HA-1. 

Compatible with many domestic sewing machines including most Singer models including the 15, 66, 99, 115, 127, 128, 201, 221 / 222K Featherweight, 301, 401, 403, 404, 500, 503, etc.
