New reproduction slide plate for the Singer model 28 and 128 sewing machine. Your choice of the #54513 front or #54512 rear slide plate. Overall length 3.25". 

Please note that this plate has a satin finish, so it will have a different sheen than the older chrome and nickel versions.

Fitment issues? If you find that the new slide fits a little snug, first try thoroughly cleaning the groove on your machine to remove any old oil and lint build up. If you find that the plate still does not slide smoothly, you can use a metal file along the edge of the slide plate. Using long steady strokes, run the file along the longer edge that does not have the circular cut out, hold the file at a slight angle to match the beveled profile of the plate. Test fit often, you will want it to slide smoothly but not too loose that it slides out during use.
